Are Environmentalist Against Growth?

Posting this video may strike debate, not real sure, but its about the environmentalist movement and whether or not environmentalists at a core level are simply against growth. Do environmentalists want people to merely forever remain as peasants to some slave leader? Are they against the world growing into a stronger and more formidable opponent! I understand that growth does damage, though growth also does good through employment.

My point I guess is where is the balance! If you stop growth, then at the environmental level you must stop birth. You cannot populate if you do not have the resources, ability or capabilities to cater the human growth. Interesting....
