Labor Wins - Kevin Rudd New Prime Minister of Australia

Well the percentage was over 6% swing to Labor with Howard even losing his own local seat along with the Prime Minister role. Peter Costello announced his retirement from politics also, instead off opting to take control and run as the leading candidate for PM for the Coalition.

Rudd's chaos is already going to begin, stating he is pushing immediately to ratify the Kyoto mandate and have industrial relations rewritten. The Coalition got Australia out of debt that Labor put the country within, now Rudd will no doubt put the country back into debt once again due to the simple fact that he is only the puppet to the Unions, the people who paid for his campaign to get elected in the first place. They own him, and that's a fact, so he will have to do as they pretty much tell him.

This means the country goes back to public strikes, employment will rise due to industrial relations pushing the ability for employers to employ people, or want to employ them under such harsh conditions. If employers aren't employing due to the likely hood of being screwed over by industrial relations, that simply means unemployment will rise once again.

The simple fact of what is now about to happen is due to the fact that Labor is a reactive party, the Coalition is a proactive party.

The youth of Australia who know no better are about to once again find out what its like to live under a Labor governement. High interest rates, high unemployment, recession coming around once again.
